Today is my oldest's birthday. She is 21 today, and I am very proud of her.
Of course as I was recently reminded, the older she gets the older that makes me!
I still remember the day she was born, and even though it was a generation ago, it seems like it was a blink of the eye. As her mother was being carted out of the delivery room she asked "How soon can we have another?!". We stopped 3 kids later.
My daughter is now well on her way of building her own life. She is engaged to a nice guy, she has a good job, and her own place. Did I mention I was proud of her!
I don't think you mentioned it enough. You could have said it a few more times, old man.
ReplyDeleteI am sure she appreciates that I said I was proud of her, a couple of times.
ReplyDeleteI might even mention it a few more times, just to be sure she heard me... I mean she still is young and doesn't have time to read every word, so the more frequently I say it maybe the more likely she will read it! ;-)
